We collect the information you provide to us directly, including your name, organisation, email, phone number, and details relating to any complaint or enquiry you submit. Complaint submissions may include development and property details, financial impact, and supporting documents you choose to upload.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and manage your complaint.
• To compile anonymised or attributed case studies for advocacy, regulatory and legal purposes, where you have given consent.
• To send you SANZ updates where you have subscribed to our newsletter.
• To improve our advocacy work and this website.

Complaint submissions

Personal complaint details are not displayed publicly by default. Complaint data is stored securely and accessed only by authorised SANZ administrators. Each complaint is assigned a unique reference number. You may request a copy of, or deletion of, your complaint data at any time by emailing kirsty.merriman@gmail.com.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share anonymised or aggregated case information with regulatory bodies such as the Commerce Commission, or with legal advisers, for the purpose of our advocacy. Where you have consented to attributed use, your name and organisation may be included in public case studies.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by SANZ at any time. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us directly.
